SHC M1s share the points away in Wakefield!
Introduction
Scarborough M1 travelled to Wakefield HC M3s for a 1:30 pm pushback, aiming to build on last week’s strong win.
First Half Overview
Scarborough started the game confidently, controlling early exchanges and creating chances that could have put them ahead. Their persistence paid off after 10 minutes with the opening goal. Despite dominating possession and generating multiple opportunities, Scarborough couldn't extend their lead before the break. They ended the half with 10 players, after an Allison green card.
Second Half Overview
Back to full strength, Scarborough pushed to secure their lead. However, the second half was much more evenly matched, with Wakefield responding with renewed energy. The intensity grew, and Scarborough saw four more cards issued, which left them temporarily down to nine players. With just four minutes left, Wakefield capitalised on the numerical advantage, finding the top corner past goalkeeper Hutchinson to equalise.
A special mention to Jasper Englebert who this week marked his final game for Scarborough, with Jasper delivering a strong, controlled performance in midfield - A huge thank you for your contribution since the start of the season.
Next week, Scarborough will host Sheffield M3s at Lady Lumley’s School in Pickering as they look to regain momentum.
Player of the Match
Player of the Match was Harry Hutchinson, for a series of crucial saves in the second half that kept Scarborough in the game.
